الحرب على هاتفي

“I escaped to Europe, but I didn’t escape the war.
Syria is here, every day on my phone.”

لقد هربت إلى أوروبا.. ولكنني لم أستطع الهروب من الحرب

سوريا هنا ، كل يوم و في كل وقت هنا على هاتفي .

A documentary film about war in the digital age:

“The War on my Phone” gives an intimate insight into the everyday life of Syrian friends and families separated by the civil war. Four personal stories documented through the protagonists’ phones, which have become their main tools for finding meaning, keeping up hope and maintaining relationships. Director Elke Sasse uses videos, photos and personal messages for the documentary to show what it means to be safe in a foreign land and yet in the midst of the conflict.

Produced by sounding images
in co-production with berlin producersWDR and DW, funded by Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.
